As a medical professional who started my career in Inpatient Pharmacy, I was responsible for a variety of important tasks. In the pharmacy, I dispensed medication, and ensured accuracy in dosages. My co-workers and I would work closely with Physicians and Nurses to make sure that each patient receives the appropriate medication at the right time. This role prepared me well for a new career as an Epic Willow Inpatient Analyst. In this role, I’m responsible for the management and maintenance of electronic health records and ensuring that patient data is secure and confidential. I’m responsible for troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to medication build and patient safety within the Epic system and providing technical support to healthcare professionals. In both roles, I have a direct impact on patient care and I’m vital member of a healthcare team.
